MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Dear Friends,

With national attention on a struggling economy and continuous media coverage of dire financial forecasts, we at Spectrum Center have noticed that money issues seem to be active and alive. Whatever beliefs we harbor about money that are based in fear seem to be rumbling around in our psyches.

With those rumblings in mind, we have asked Helen Racz, EFT practitioner, to bring her expertise to our aid to identify deeply buried beliefs about money and to clear out limiting patterns. June 14 will be a great day for your future, and we are calling it a Day of Freedom. Come join us!

Next, we invite you to place your tired and painful backs in the capable hands of MaryBeth Smith, Feldenkrais® teacher extraordinaire. Feldenkrais awakens your body to ways of moving that not only relieve pain and discomfort, but also rejuvenate your entire system. New Perspective on Back Pain is the first installment in The New Perspectives Series. Don’t miss it.

I’ve always believed that summer is a time to learn something new, venture into an area we didn’t find time for during the winter months, take advantage of all that is blooming and step out into the sunshine. These classes are two jewels in our summer lineup. Read on to find out about all of our early-season offerings. Take a summer plunge into writing, learn meditation, new body tricks and dispel financial worries. We’d love to see you!

Lovingly,
Rosa Glenn Reilly
Director/Founder, Spectrum Center

Helen Racz will begin our Day of Freedom with a two-hour morning introduction to EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). This is a powerful technique you can easily learn to unlock troublesome emotional patterns which limit your full capacity for success, emotional and physical healing, peace of mind, and it’s just plain fun. Helen came to EFT to break out of financial fear and limitations, and she has created abundance in all areas of her life. She helps her clients erase negative emotional charges that sabotage their well being. If you have already attended an introduction to EFT, you may join us for the afternoon class.

In the afternoon our focus will be uncovering and banishing money issues. Helen will use an array of energy healing techniques to identify beliefs which may be limiting your ability to respond effectively to financially challenging times. We will deal with those beliefs giving you new found clarity, calm and creative energy—just what is needed to vibrationally attract the best outcomes for your life. Please register early.

Each of us has a magnificent memory machine parked between our ears, hard-wired to our hearts, minds, and all of our senses. Together we will experiment with ways to activate this machine, in order to recall memories that might form the basis of interesting pieces of writing. We will write to different kinds of music, and in response to different smells, pictures, colors and objects. We will use all these things to trigger memory and imagination, creating fiction, non-fiction, stories and poems.

Open to writers of any genre or level of experience.

To register call or email Rosa Glenn Reilly at: 713.840.8957 ext 1 or rosa235@earthlink.net.

“Whoever you are, the world offers itself to your imagination.”

—Mary Oliver

This is a chance to witness a powerful collection of physical artifacts from all corners of the planet, and to write in response to what we observe, imagine and experience. Specific writing exercises and experiments will be given out, and students will be free to explore the collections and exhibits and write on their own. Students will also have the option to attend two special exhibits, Lucy’s Legacy: the Hidden Treasures of Ethiopia and Leonardo da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius. At 4:00 p.m. we will meet again to discuss our experiences and discuss the texts we wrote.

Open to writers of any genre or level of experience. Class tuition includes the $10 general admission fee to the museum, but it does not include admission fees to the optional special exhibits.
