MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Dear Friends of Spectrum Center,

Summer has arrived! I have always considered summer as a time to learn something new, rise to a challenge with a sense of adventure or tackle an old problem with new tools. We hope to give you those opportunities over the next few months.

Right now there is no better time to check out what is working in your financial world and what you need as your next. Step Into Financial Prosperity with Helen Racz, our magnificent EFT facilitator, is just the way to do this. She is sharing her secrets and tools to move your prosperity emotionally and energetically to the next level and beyond this coming Saturday, June 20th.

Melanie Harrell returns by popular demand with her wisdom and experience about Kundalini energy. And, the Spectrum Center Writers Guild is in full swing with summer writing classes. Get your "writer friends" on our email list!

Our Diva Exchange continues to grow with wonderful, interesting women gathering to swap their finest ! Time to clean out closets and hold Sunday, July 5th on your calendar. Holiday weekends are often the best time to take over the entire Center to provide ample space for clothes, accessories and changing rooms. Marian was just featured in a Channel 11 news story! Click to check it out! There are more treasures to be found, so take a moment and enjoy our newsletter.

Lovingly,
Rosa Glenn Reilly

Kundalini . . . the mysterious energy coiled three and a half times at the base of your spine . . .

  • Is it real? (yes)
  • If it awakens, does it mean you are enlightened? (no)
  • Is it safe to deliberately try to awaken it? (that depends)
  • What if it awakens and you aren’t ready for it? (let's talk about that!)

Melanie Harrell experienced a premature Kundalini awakening in 1996  and spent 7 years recovering. Her confusion about the process led her to graduate school, where she completed a master's degree in transpersonal psychology. Her master's thesis was on Gopi Krishna's work on Kundalini. This evening discussion includes:

  • How to recognize a Kundalini awakening
  • How to help someone experiencing a Kundalini awakening
  • Kundalini and the 4 qualities of enlightenment
  • Looking back 13 years later—was it
    worth it?

Bring questions and your own experiences and observations. Healthcare professionals and anyone seeking consciousness evolution are welcome.

Commit this day to your financial
well-being!

In the morning Helen will help us explore 3 questions concerning our financial prosperity:

  • Where are you now?
  • What are you doing right?
  • What might be the next step?

We will connect these questions to our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual worlds, knowing that if any of these areas are stuck, movement toward our next step will not be effective.

In the afternoon, with our next step clearly in hand, we will learn a diverse assortment of energetic tools to access hidden limiting beliefs, uncover thought provoking possibilities and step boldly outside our particular boxes to create the shifts necessary for strong financial well-being. Join the fun!

Distance Bootcamp Class:
How to Write 1000 Words a Day

July 1–10

Go to www.hollowdeckpress.com for details and registration.

Most of us think of the dictionary as simply a reference book we use to find the spelling or definition of a word. But many fiction writers, memoirists and poets have also discovered the dictionary as a fun, easy form in which to tell a story or amass a field of creative texts. Students in recent classes have created dictionaries of dreams, memories of water, dictionaries of things broken and unbroken, dictionaries of staying and leaving, the A-Z of a husband lost to cancer, a dictionary of sacred sites and even a dictionary of ex-boyfriends. Dictionaries are easy to write and they can be funny, serious, poetic, fictional or anything in between. This class is open to writers of any genre or level of experience.

Make new friends! Network! Great time had by all!

It's simple—bring items from your closet that you don't want and pick out items at the Diva Clothing Exchange Party that you do want! Swapping is what we do. The ultimate in recycling and networking!

How to enjoy the Diva Clothing Exchange experience...

  1. Please RSVP when you receive this invitation, Let us know how many people will be coming with you. RSVP to: rosa235@earthlink.net
  2. Clean out your clothing closets and accessory chests! Bring the shoes, clothes, jewelry, purses and accessories that you haven't worn in ages, or have never worn, but can't seem to throw out. All sizes welcome! ALSO, bring your re-gift items and re-fresh your "gifting" box.
  3. Choose your clean, new or gently worn items. Place on hangers, as necessary. Pack these items into your car the day of the event. Pack business cards and flyers for Networking Table.
  4. We are also swapping "re-gifts." You know, those presents that didn't quite work for you but that you keep to give to someone else. Well, bring those, too and refresh your re-gift giving.
  5. Bring your items to Spectrum Center, along with a friend or two. The more people of different styles and sizes, the more great stuff we can swap!
  6. Arrive early. You can use carts to help unload cars. All items not swapped will be given to a charity of choice.

We will start promptly at 3:30 p.m., so please be on time to get the BEST stuff!

Beverages & healthy goodies will be served.
Suggested donation/love offering: $20

"I brought 5 items and left with 12. Great party! And, I got some clients, too."
